Curated by Cultre in collaboration with 17 embassies of Latin American and Caribbean countries in India, Connected Histories, Shared Present explored the intertwined narratives that link these regions with India. The exhibition reflected on the cultural exchanges and interactions that have shaped the multi-ethnic societies of Latin America and the Caribbean, while foregrounding shared experiences of identity, memory, and heritage.

Through a rich mix of artwork and documentary material, the exhibition offered glimpses into everyday life, monuments, street spaces, and living traditions, revealing how histories distant in geography remain connected through cultural resonance. A special section titled Creative Expressions highlighted works by Latin American and Caribbean artists that expressed the diversity of their cultures through music, dance, design, rituals, art, and craft. By bringing together archival imagery, artistic expression, and cross-continental collaboration, the exhibition invited viewers to recognise the deep continuities that bind communities across oceans, and to reflect on the shared present we continue to shape together.
